Website Design for Reuse
Single-source publishing allows us to reuse a content element on multiple pages.
When the source document for the content element is edited, all the published versions change. Our scheduled publishing capability lets us change an element of content, and have all the pages on which that element appears change at the scheduled date and time.
If the different pages use different CSS style sheets, then the reused content appears differently, matching the appropriate channel appearance.
CM Pros hopes also to structure the content of important pages on the site, for example Press Releases. This will allow boiler plate sections of the press release to be maintained separately.
Reusable "right_blocks" content elements
Website section editors can choose any number of reusable elements to appear in the right-hand column of the pages in their sections. Current versions of all the available reusable elements are shown in the column on the right.
Specific section pages can have a different grouping of reusable elements, provided a new page template is designed. At the moment there is one template for the landing page and all the section pages.
